Delete Page Break Advice Please

I have a word document in which I have two pages.
Top and bottom margins are 0.5 cm
The second is blank.
I want to delete the second page.
I can see the page break in normal view but right clicking it etc does not
delete it.
I check the online help: Paragraph | Line and page settings | uncecked all
options | still nosuccess in deleting the page break.

Any further advice would be great, thanks

Hi Dermot,

You're probably seeing an automatic page break, caused by the fact that you've got more lines in your document than Word can fit
onto one page. If, as you say, the second page is blank, it's probably got one or more empty paragraphs that can safely be deleted.

Click on the ¶ sign on the toolbar. This will show all the times you hit the
enter key. Just position the cursor at the end of the document and press the
delete or backspace key to remove these. These signs don't print and you
might find it useful to have them on view. If you wish to turn them off, just
press the ¶ again. Does this help solve your problem?

I viewed caridge returns in print layout before posting but there were none,
its as if I have only to delete the automatic page break...mmmm

Making the font point 1 resolved my problem.

I have wrongly been calling the black marks caridge returns...pilcrow.
