Frustrated with 2007

I am trying to delete the second page from a template for a resume. I have
tried the "show paragraph and page breaks" page breaks don't show up. If I
try to just copy the first page for a new document, the second page still
shows up. I can't very well email my resume with that garbage on it. It
would have been faster not to have used the template...live and learn.

Word doesn't really have "pages" -- the Page Breaks that show when you
have that item turned on are manual page breaks that you inserted
yourself (on the Insert or Page Layout tab).

Doing that would get you something you could select and delete; or
Format the first Paragraph on the second page as "Page Break
Before" (2nd tab of Format Paragraph, which is the tiny arrow in the
lower right corner of the Paragraph group of the Home tab).

But: How are you "copying" just the first page? If you select it and
copy the selection, you won't get anything else when you paste it into
a new document.

OTOH, where did you get the template? Is it a table? a bunch of text
boxes or frames?

You should be able to cut/delete the info you don't need. Most templates use
tables. Try selecting the table area you do not need, click table, delete,
rows. You could also tweak your top/bottom margins a bit to allow more room
for the text. Good luck.
