Definitions won't update after install

I installed and get windows Defender is unable to complete the update:
0X80070005. Access is denied. Please advise.
 
Had the same error message. Its a problem with Microsoft. You need to login
as administrator and do the update that way. Ever since MS upgraded their
"Windows Update" site in August 2005, W2K has had to be an Administrator in
order to receive updates. Just another MS bug which won't be fixed!
