Defender update issues

Hello,

I am unable to get updates for defender. I am behind a Coporate firewall and
have no access to Windaows Update.

I have tried several different solutions with no help.

1. Uninstalling Windows Defender.

2. Running Msiexec /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C}

3. Using Windows Installer Clean Up (Remove Windows Defender Signatures)

4. Manual Update :

The manual update worked once and has not worked since.

Is the manaul update changed daily?

Please provide a link to this so that I can preform the update myself.

The filename for the manual update will change with each new release. If
you search these groups for posts from Simon Zerafa, I believe he has posted
at least some of the URL's as they have been released.

Otherwise, the way to find the URL is to check the WindowsUpdate.log file
from \windows on an updated machine outside the corporate setting.

If your enterprise is running WSUS, Windows Defender definitions updates are
available for distribution by that mechanism--have you considered asking?

Hello Bill,

Thanks I receive updates every morning when I log into my laptop. The
company had not installed XP SP2 yet so I had to install that before i was
able to install Defender. I will check my my personal pc and get the update
from the WindowsUpdate.log file and install it that way.
