Default POP3 account sends though Hotmail??

When I send emails with my default POP3 account, it somehow uses my Hotmail
account to send and all replies end up in my Hotmail inbox. Checked all the
settings, but can't find anything wrong. This first occured after I did a
clean install of XP and Office 2003. Grateful for all suggestions!

Check your Internet Options in Internet Explorer. Go to Tools, Options,
Programs and change the default mail program. Also look at your account
server settings in Outlook.

I discovered a similar problem today. Since 11/26 all my e-mails have been
sent from the wrong account. I have two websites and two sets of e-mail
addresses. When I send from any account in my primary website, it will
actually send it from the first account it finds for the other website. Very
annoying. In my case it has to go to my fourth listed e-mail account, and I
can actually watch the display go from sending 1, complete, sending 2,
complete, sending 3, complete, sending 4, complete.

Aparently Outlook, if it can't send using the intended account, will grab
another and send using that one. One of the Microsoft MSFTs pointed it out
(Jeff Stephenson, I believe).

In my case all three accounts it skips over can send just fine--they pass the
account setup sending test.

I would not count that as a complete test. There can be issues not covered
by the test button.
