Customizing Site Icons in Explorer

Hi -

Sometimes, when I add a new site to my list of favorites, it will appear
with a unique icon/logo instead of the usual blue 'e.' Lots of sites have
these icons (I am guessing automatically embedded) and they are great because
they seem more attractive. (For example, if you add www.cnn.com to your list
of favorites you'll see what I mean.) Anyways, sometimes they are there and
sometimes they are not - re-staring my computer turns everything back to a
blue 'e.' Any ideas?

By default they are stored in Temporary Internet Files and disappear when
that is cleared.

Hi -

Well there's a start . . . but how can I keep them? I like them! Do I go
into temporary internet files and copy them somewhere else? Any suggestions?
What do other people do?

Thanks!

As I said in the part of my message you chose not to quote:

Save the icon in My Documents. Then right click the link, click properties,
change icon, browse (to My Documents).
