Customize notification area

When I right click on the taskbar and select properties, and click on
customize in the notification area everything is set to “Hide when inactiveâ€.
They cannot be changed. When I click on them the down arrow appears, but
does not work.

In Irv <[email protected]> had this to say:

My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:

Reset it...

If it works be sure to thank Kelly the next time you see her.

See if this helps you,

Navigate to the following location in the registry,

[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify]
[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify]

Delete "IconStreams" and "PastIconsStream"

Logoff and logon to have the changes to take place.
