When trying to get Windows Updates from microsoft I get an error message
that states I should check to be sure cryptography is enabled.

Going through the services I do not see where I can enable it. It is
important to tell that this machine was once infested with virus' that were
removed. (Can this be the result?) Updates never had a problem before the
virus, and before Quickbooks updates.

tried to reinstall Service Pack 4, but it told me that the files could not
be verified ... check to make sure crypto was enabled .. Any ideas?

See the "Windows Update.log" file in the windows directory for more
specific error messages. When you have the error number use google
