Cannot Install SP1 on XP Home after trying everything. Help!

I keep getting "cannot verify the integrity of update.inf. Cryptography
services may not be running" when attempting to load SP1 from both
Microsoft.com and the security CD.

I've scanned for viruses, defragged, stopped and started cryptography
services, re-registered dll's and nothing seems to work.

I am working on a Presario 2800 with XP Home.

Thanks, but that link does not appear to be working. I could not find that
article # when I searched the Knowledge Base.

I did find the following link, however, and have unsuccessfully tried
everything.
