Crop over laps of pictures

In the interests of keeping the file as small as possible is it possible to
do a block crop or individual crop to the parts of a picture that will not be
shown in the presentation? I know I can crop each picture manually but can i
crop the lot in one go?

There's no automatic crop in PPT.

And after cropping manually, you'll want to use PPT's compression feature to
remove the cropped-out image data; otherwise it stays in the file.
