Creating link icon to web page

How do I create an icon on my desktop which launched my browser and
takes it to a particular web page?
 
1 - open internet explorer, goto the website, drag its icon from the address
bar to the desktop
or
2 - in internet explorer: file, send, shortcut to desktop
or
3 - right click desktop, new, shortcut, type in the website address.
 
Hi Vance

Open to the page you want to save. Drag the IE icon to the left
of the http://.... to the desktop. This will create a shortcut to that
page on the desktop.
 
One way you can do it is, if you have that page on your favorites list,
r-click and select "Send to Desktop"
