Desktop Icons

I have a question about Desktop Icons.

When you go to a website, and right click the mouse then select create
shortcut, you cansend a startup icon for that web page to the desktop.

When you click on the desktop icon, the webpage opens in a small window. You
can click on the maximize button to enlarge it to full sized window. There
are no settings in the properties of the desktop icon for maximizing the
window on opening.

How can you set the parameters of the created desktop icon to open the
browser window as maximized?

Thanks for the help.

Provided that you're talking about the Internet Explorer, that's the
wrong approach. Drag the window borders with the *mouse* to the max
(do *not* use the maximize button), hold down the [Shift] and [Ctrl]
key and close the window via the 'X' button at the upper right caption
bar. Next time, IE should open as desired.

There are settings in the Properties of the shortcut to have it open in a
Maximized, Normal or Minimized window.

Frank,

If the shortcut is generated by right clicking a web page, then selecting
"create shortcut" that process creates a shortcut on the desktop that does
not have the "Maximized, Minimized, Normal Window" option available.
Therefore the reason for my original post.

Thanks,
Ed
