....instead of desktop? When I right click a page the 'Create Shortcut' box
asks "Do you want to put a shortcut on your desktop?" I'd like to create one
in the Start Menu. Any way to modify the internet explorer box?

This community is a wonderful resource, thanks an any suggestions.

Drag and drop a copy of the file or folder in question to the start
button and it will appear on the start menu. This link gives a method of
add "Pin to start menu" on your right-click context menu, if you would
prefer that.

Good luck.

The drag the file there and it will appear in your All Programs group.
