I am using Win XP home, Mozilla 1.6b.

I can drag a file to desktop and an icon will appear there.

When I clikc on it, I get the following.... "This file does not have
a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an
association in the FOLDER OPTIONS CONTROL PANEL."

When I to control panel, I can not see anything that I can figure out to
make the association.

appreciate if someone could walk me thru this.

Thanks

Ben

Make MOZ the default browser, under EDIT|PREFS|NAVIGATOR
Click the MAKE DEFAULT button

Congrats on discovering a browser that is vastly superior to I.E.

Thanks Dev,

Moz is listed as my default browser.

I posted my problem earlier, on the Moz website, and they did not come
up with anything that would make my shortcuts work.

I posted on the MS site because I thought maybe I could get help in
creating the "ASSOCIATION" in Control Panel. > "This file does not have
Don't have the least idea what I may have done, I have used Netscape
and Mozilla for years and until a few weeks ago, I could put a shortcut
on Desktop and then it would open in Mozilla or Netscape when I was
using it.

I have even uninstalled Moz, cleaned all Moz entries from Registry,
rebooted, reinstalled Moz and for some reason, I still can not get the
desktop shortcuts to work.

So I am hoping for way to create the association using Control Panel, if
that is possible.

Thanks

Ben
