I have an E-Mail attachment to open

C

I get this window: This file does not have a program associated with it for
performing this action.
Create an association in the folder options control panel.
I go to control panel -then click on options-but I don't see any choices to
do this .
Am I in the right place?

You need to ask the sender of that attachment what specific application
was used to create the file you're trying to open. Then, you'll be able
to purchase/download and install the application needed to read the file
you received.

Can you tell us what the file extension is? If you don't know ehat that
means find out from the sender which program he used to create the
file/attachment.

This is unrelated. What a surprise. About 2 years ago I had this site
DTS-l.org. on my computer. then it crashed. I didn't exactly remember the
site. Searched all over, posted, ask questions. nobody knew what I was
talking about. and here It appears out of the blue. Great

It was sent by Power Point. I am told I could open it with Microsoft office
viewer. I can't seem to do this either. I have the viewer

Try it this way. Right click on the attachment while holding down the Shift
key. When the dialogue box jumps up select Power Point. See if it opens like
that.

You can download a free PowerPoint Viewer from Microsoft:

If you need to edit the file, though, you'll need the full version of
PowerPoint, or another compatible application.

Personally, I would use Google and not ask other people to do it
for you.

No it did not open. I got the same menu just with the right click. Thanks
anyway. I did go to Microsoft and downloaded PowerPoint.I used it once,
worked don't know what I did. I would like to know in detail how to connect
the attachment in E-Mail with PowerPoint. should be a tutorial.
