Crashing at E-Bay Only

J

Jason Love

Hi. I have taken a break from punching the wall to post
this entry.

I have Internet Explorer 6, which has worked fine for
months. Lately, however, every time I go to E-Bay, my
browser crashes, giving me the option of sending the
report to Microsoft (which helps me not at all). I don't
seem to be crashing at any other sites.

I updated my version of IE 6 and downloaded all of the
critical updates, yet I crash. Can anyone think of a
reason why E-Bay would keep crashing me? Is this a
personal thing for that bracelet I bid on but didn't paid
for...

Thanks for your help.

Jason

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit is with these
tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

Does anyone know why typing in http;//www.facelink.com
with or without a persons facelink page closes my browser >window?

Tools/internet options/advanced/Microsoft VM
....only tick the JIT compiler box and leave the Java boxes un checked
(default)
when running Win 95 IE 5.5, else the browser window closes.
Same thing for IE 6, confirmed.

Thank you, Henri. I unchecked "enable third party extensions." I don't
think I really need that option anyway. I browse simply.

Best,

There will come a time that your will need it.
What you did was just disable the browser object. You are still infected by
some parasites.

I suggest you at least download AdAware and run it.
