Crash, crash, crash

Explorer 6 has for some reason developed a habit of crashing all the time
for no know reason. There is no particular thing that causes this to happen
and seems to happen at random and sometimes even when it is sitting idle. I
tried to delete and reinstall, but though it showed that I had deleted it,
it was still there and when I try to download the "latest version" and
install it I get a message saying that I have a later version and it will
not download and install another version. I have Slim Browser installed
which is just modifies ie 6 and it works great. Could this be causing ie6 to
crash when I run it. Thanks in advance for any help.
