since i uninstalled adobe flash player i no longer get ie6 crashing. i did
try to install the latest version for W2kSP4 but still have ie6 crashing
intermittently when flash player is installed. now frequently flashplayer
wants to install and i click the 'no' button. sometimes the message comes
three or four times before i can read the page. i am ok with flashplayer if
it doesn't crash my laptop. charlie

What happens if you put that site name in your Restricted zone?

i will try that. 'adobe.com'. most of the flash player inserts on most
pages run but some just crash IE6. i only have 64 meg in this laptop so
that is probably my problem. charlie

Are you sure you gave the right site name to be restricted?

Why go that far? Just use the Manage Add-ons to disable the Flash extension
if you don't want to use it.

thanks

Good luck
