I am not allowed to run SECPOL.MSC to change local security options.
Message says I may not have administrative priviliges!
I do have administrative rights!
I also cannot access the Group Policy Object, probably for some similar
reason.
I also cannot see the built-in admin account when I log in, but I don't know
if this is important
Jesus, XP sucks
Anybody??

The built in Administrator account is hidden when you create additional user accounts. To access it, press CTRL-ALT-DEL twice at the Welcome Screen, with no other users logged on. Enter Adminstrator and any password that's been set for that account.

To enable the Administrator account on the new Windows XP logon screen, visit my web site, www.dougknox.com and go to the Windows XP section. Follow the link for Enable Administrator Account ......

This small VB Script will make the registry change necessary for the Administrator account to be available on the Welcome Screen.
