Don Lute

When I boot up the computer I get this message " The recycle bin on C:\ is corrupted. Do you want to empty the recycle bin for this drive" Is there any thing I can do short of reinstalling Vista

- What happens if you click Yes and restart your computer?
- Have you tried running a checkdisk?

- click start
- type: cmd
- right-click cmd.exe when it appears, click run as administrator
- type: chkdsk c: /v /f
- press enter
- follow the prompts and tell it you want to run a checkdisk when you next
reboot
- restart your computer

The easy way to run CHKDSK without needing to restart is to click
Computer> right click main drive>> properties>>tools>>check now.

Well, you still need to restart, but it is a bit easier than using the
command line.

Thanks!
