Copying Outlook .pst file

I have the instructions to copy and move my Outlook .pst file to my new
laptop but I can't copy my old .pst file on my old laptop. When I try to
move or copy the file I get an error message saying that another person or
program might be using the the file and that I am to close any programs that
might be using the file.

Or it would say another process has locked a portion of the file... I tired
restarting the computer and not opening any programs but there must be some
program running that I'm not aware of. I even tried to do a misconfig to
uncheck some startup grams that mgith be related to Outlook.

What other programs could be running that would prevent me from copying the
Outlook .pst file?

Ensure that if you have a PDA that it is not cradled. Also ensure that you
have turned off mail scanning in your AV. Use Task Manager to shut down all
running instances and then try the copy again.
