Copy N Paste

I am copying what I have typed out in Word 2007 and when I paste it into
another text editor it brings over what looks like page settings. This is a
small example of what I see.
mso-style-name:"Table Normal";mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99;

Is there a way in Word 07 to turn this off?

Maybe if you don't use tables in Word 2007, or maybe if you investigate
the paste options in another text editor.
