Copnnection Issues

Having recently bought a Amilo 1845 D laptop (with XP home), I am having
issues connecting to the internet. On each attempt the code 'error 678'
occurs, I have adjusted numerous settings with no success. After a searc of
the microsoft website and adherence to the advice there is still no positive
outcome. Can anyone help?

Hi ... Did you recieve a motherboard disk ? If so ? Have a look at this disk
, It should provide all the drivers you need and then some other programs ,
Install the motherboard chipset , audio , net connection adapter , Just view
this disk programs and install them ... Also are you using a firewall ? Is
your connection wireless ? You need to provide more info ...
