Converting from Exchange server to POP3

Hi, hope you can help.
I am running Outlook 2003 on my laptop and until recently was accessing work
email through their exchange server. (and personal email on a desktop).
I have since finished working with my organisation, but my laptop is my own.
I would like to be able to access my personal emails, directly through a POP3
into Outlook.

For some reason, even when I have deleted the Exchange server profile and
accounts, and have tried to create a new profile, it will not allow me to
choose the server type to configure a new account and email settings. All the
Server options are greyed out. The only options available are "back" or
"cancel". I have tried to sort this out both via Outlook AND the Mail applet
in Control Panel. I have even removed Office, reset, then re-loaded Office.

What can you suggest? I am the owner and Administrator for this machine and
am getting nowhere.

Could a policy have been pushed down to your machine while you were part of
the corporate network? Were you logging into an Active Directory while
there?

Hi Vince, thanks for geting back so quickly.
Potentially I might have had policy pushed down onto my machine - and I
think I was logged onto an active directory. Anything i can do to check this
and then get round this?

thank you.
