Does Exchange Server retain a record of POP3 email after moving it

I use Outlook for business and connect to the company Exchange Server through
a VPN connection. I also download email from several POP3 accounts and have
a rule to move those message to a personal folder, because it doesn't appear
to be possible to have the POP3 account messages to go directly into a
personal folder - or is it?. If using a rule is the only option, does the
Exchange Server have a record of the POP3 messages even though they're moved
right away? If I send an email using a POP3 account does the Exchange Server
have a record of the sent message?

Unless you are POPing your mail into Exchange and retrieving it from there,
Exchange has nothing to do with your POP3 mail. So, the short answer is,
no, Exchange has no knowledge of any POP3 mail.
