My computer was changed from 'pick a category' view
to 'classic' view. There is nothing on the tool bar
anware that says 'change view to pick a category'. Does
anyone know another way to get it back to 'pick a
category'?
Thank you.

Melanie;

Click the Folders icon on the top Toolbar.
Then in the left hand pane you should see:
Control Panel ^
Switch to Category View

Presuming that My Computer and so on show a panel of possible actions on
the left, go to Control Panel's View Menu - Explorer bar and make sure
no item is checked (if one is, click to Uncheck). You should then have
the left panel including 'switch to category view'

If you do not see left panels at all, go to Control Panel - System -
Advanced - Performance and click Settings. In the custom panel, make
sure that 'use common tasks in folders' is checked
