Control panel loses settings

I have Explorer options set to remember the last view.
When I open the control panel in "classic" mode, it
always come up in "details" view. Then I have to set it
to tiles. Next time I come back, it's back to detail view
again.

Any ideas?

After you set how you want to see your files in Explore (i.e. details/tiles, etc.
click Tools/folder options/View tab/apply to all folders
