My contact e-mail address shows the correct e-mail address for
a friend but when I try to send an e-mail it misses out one letter
from his e-mail address. I have tried to delete and re insert
and I have taken the correct e-mail address from the sender but
it still misses out the same letter from his e-mail address.

Is the missing letter at the beginning or at the end? Perhaps
one of the characters is a space or another illegal character.
With a few exceptions, only alpha-numeric characters can be used.

The omitted letter is always the last letter of the contact's first
name ie the d in ronald. The equivalent of the 'n' in my e-mail
address. I have populated the contact addresses file from my
friends own e-mail to me so I am not sure how it can contain
anything 'illegal'. Kevin

Is your email to your friend rejected because of the missing letter?
If not, then just use the shortened contact name.
If it is, create a new contact by typing in his email address instead
of importing it from his email, then try using your new contact
address to send a message. If it gets through, it means your
friend has a hidden illegal character in his return email address.
Good luck.
Rodan.
