Constant HDD Activity

Recently I have been noticing that my hard drive light is always on. I
really dont know what can be causing the problem. I figured that it
was some rouge program that was running in the background that I
couldnt find so I formatted my hard drvie and did a fresh install of
Windows 2000 and I still am having the same problem. I have been
running Windows 2000 for quite sometime without this problem. Can
anyone help me out???

Sounds like it may be a hardware problem. Is the light on if you are
just sitting at the boot menu. If it is then it is something that is
coming from your drive or motherboard.

The last time I saw this it was the hd failing.
Ensure you have data backups
Check yr hd manuf.site for a hd checking utility
