I have some 20 Win2k servers across wan with 4 on lan. I can connect remote
desktop or terminal services client without trouble to all but one. It is on
local lan running exchange2k. TS configured as remote admin. Tried
connection server name and ip...always same...Terminal Services Client
Disconnected: The connection to the Server has timed out. Try connecting to
the Terminal server again. I've reinstalled TS (remote admin) and rebooted.
TS service appears to be running.

Thx in advance.

More info:
This was working but I can't put finger on when it stopped or what would
cause it. I looked thru reg and compared settings to other working server.
TS mgr and config about same. I've been beating my head on this one.

please help.

Yes...

Also, I've looked into to the registry and compaired to similar server in
our network that's working...all looks same.

I do want to mention (and the reason for my delay in response) we recently
found some corupted files on this server due to what appears to be faulty
memory. while it's been replaced, I wonder if the TS files are somehow
corrupt. We've reinstalled TS but if it doesn't replace files... Is there a
KB on manually removing TS....any other ideas?

Again, I apologize for the delay and thanks for your help.

If you believe that file corruption can be the cause (and it
sounds plausible), then I would start the server with F8 and use
the repair option.
