Connecting third PC to hub. Connection good but no access to inter

Hi,

I run my PC on two networks at home and at work so within my network
connection / internet protocol i have entered my work connections into the
alternate config. So both connections "plug and play"

At work is where i have the problem.

Connected third PC to ethernet hub (third PC O/S XP PRO) and the other two
are MACS. All pc's connected to hub.

My connection is good although i cannot get access to the internet or
receive emails until one of the other PC's are online.

This baffles me as neither MAC is a host computer, we are all connected
directly to the hub.

Is there something i've missed.
