hi, i have recently purchased a sony laptop model vgn-a217m and one of the programs on it is click to dvd, when i fire up this program it asks me to connect an external device i,e, a camcorder, is it possible to connect a normal dvd player or a video recorder to this machine and if so what leads or lead do i need, i know at the side of the laptop there is an ilink (eee394) s400 port,
help!

It is possible, you are basically looking for a Video-in (Composite to USB lead)

I personally use a Pinnacle PCTV USB2, this also lets you watch TV on it.
