Computer Turns Itself On! How Do I Fix?

Hello,

For the past few months, my computer has been turning itself on. I have
turned off the Wake-On-LAN, and it will still do it. It happens in both
Stand-by (S3) and when fully shut down. I would turn to the PC manufacturer
for help, but I built the system myself and thus I cannot. I am connected to
a wired home network (with wireless-G, which is on). It usually turns on
between 7 to 9 AM. (EST)

Here are my specs:
Primary OS: MS Windows XP - Home Edition - SP2 (Last updated today)
Motherboard: ABIT AI7
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 - 3GHz - Hyperthreading Enabled
RAM: 1GB DDR SDRAM in a Single Channel configuration (One DIMM)
Power Supply: Ultra X-Connect 500 Watt - Modular Power Supply

I feel that it is probably not a virus. I am concerned that someone might
be hacking into my network and trying to get in. (Even though my WIFI is
locked down TIGHT and I constantly change my password)

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Take a look in the BIOS for any settings that have a time for the computer
to start.
Some BIOS have a setting that you could configure to turn the PC on at 9am
every morning.

Take a look to see if there is a setting for PCI or other cards to "wake"
the PC up.

You can try disabling/removing the wireless card in order to see if it's
really the wireless card but you could also enable logging on your wireless
router to see who is hitting your network if you are worried about hackers
(most of these devices have a configured firewall by default).

You can always try and contact the motherboard manufacturer, they may have
some additional tips.

If it was mine I would first disable any outside contact by physically
removing cable or if wireless unplugging the router. This will at least make
you feel better that's it is not someone breaking in. No big deal to
reconnect.

I do have a start-up timer, but I disabled it. All of the "Wake-On" options
have been turned off. Also, I am hardwired into the network using an
ethernet cable and onboard LAN. It was once on wireless, but the card was
junk so I wired it into the network. (Just so you know) I don't know if the
WIFI could have somehow started the problem. Also, when I had that same WIFI
card in an old eMachines running win98, the same thing happened twice. (I
blamed it on the PC because it was junk - many hardware issues)

Here is the extra cards (PCI, AGP) that I have installed:
ATI Radeon 9250 - Video Card (AGP 8x)
ESS Maestro - Sound Card (PCI)
KWorld TV Tuner Card (PCI)

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
