PC turning itself on

Would anyone know why my PC turns itself back on quiet some time after I have
shut it down when nobody is around may I add !!!!!! I don't put it into sleep
mode I shut down completely except I don't turn the power off ??

If the internet connection is thru dialup and/or you have it set to receive
faxes, it could be that your pc is set to 'wake on modem'.. also, some
computers reboot after power failures..

I am with Broadband so if I turn my modum off as well at night will that
help solve my problem?

or you could go to the settings for your NIC card and turn OFF wake on Lan

Go to BIOS.
Look for something like "Wake on LAN" or "Wake on ring", normally
under Power tab.
Disable them.
