Hello,

I am running into a problem, we updated this one ibm notebook to service
pack 2, and found out it was causing one of our applications to slow down,
so we uninstalled it, and rebooted, everything was working fine, on monday
when we returned, the computer was not allowing us to boot up to windows, we
can get into safe mode but other than that we get the error.

"The BIOS is not fully ACPI compliant"

Anyone have any suggestions? we were on the phone with microsoft technical
support and they told us after hours to just reinstall the operating system?
any recommendations aside from that?

Regards,
Jordan

The last time I saw this it turned out to be a memory issue.
Download memtest86 and let it run for a few hours, it might point out a
problem.

Thanks for the reply,

Unfortunately this laptop does not have a floppy drive, is there another
free program I can use to test the memory?

Regards,
Jordan
