Computer freeze problem

Hi, my computer keeps freezing whenever I go into a a
drop down menu or whiles I'm moving the mouse though a
list in a drop down menu, for example it keeps freezing
whenever I'm highlighting names in my start menu. Any
help is appreciated. Thanks

Be sure you have the correct version of your video driver

You have not provided any basic information. Currently
based upon facts as provided, then everything in the computer
is causing your failures. Event logs. Voltmeter readings
using a 3.5 digit multimeter. Information from Task Manager
when computer freezes. The list of important information is
endless. But even these simple facts would give one a reason
to respond with useful recommendations.

If you own a compaq or hp I do not recommend installing
SP1a or any updates due to system instability.
