computer crashes

my computer keeps shutting down unexpectedly after its been on for a while.
seems like it just overheats or somthing? i thought it was becausei left it
on standby a lot but i've stopped doing that and it keeps happening...

The fan on the processor may be malfunctioning. If you open the case and find
a processor too hot to even touch, it's overheated.

....also, it might help
to simply keep the
pc's side panel off
and allow cooler air
to flow inside.
