My windows XP Professional goes blank whenever I start
Internet Explorer. The power and reset buttons fail to
work and I have to remove the power cord to restart the
computer. When I boot up in Windows 98, IE6 works fine.

I have tried all manner of things, even format the hard
drive and reinstall from scratch.

Please send your advise ([email protected]).
Thanks.

Hi,

5. On the General tab, click on the button Delete Files. Also select the
checkbox "Delete All Offline Content", before you click on the Ok button
6. Also clear the Clear History to clear History.

Method 2:
=========
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. or
Click Start, and then click Control Panel
2. Double-click Internet Options.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart) check box.
5. Restart Internet Explorer.

Method 3:
==========
First, try reinstalling from the INF files (for Windows XP).

2. Type the following command
3. "rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132

4. When prompted for the CD, Insert the windows XP cd
