Compatibility problems

I have a program that works fine on me other computer
that has win 98 on it but when i tried to play it on this
computer with win xp on it it wont let me even if i
change the compatibility to 98 and all the other stuff

Not all programs are certified to run on XP. Your only option would be to
see if there's a version of your application made for Windows XP.

Obviously the program does not work in XP. Time to upgrade the
program to a version which is XP compatible. Games that try to
access hardware directly will not work in XP regardless of the
compatibility mode set.
