Im writing this for a buddy of mine...so im not sure of the specs and
stuff of his comp.
His problem is that his comp restarts on its own, he could be doin
something and it will just restart...or might not even be using it
and it will restart on its own.
Any idea of what this could be or how he can fix it?
Thanks
The system is likely encountering a fatal error and the automatically
restart option has been selected in start up and recovery options.
Right click on My Computer and select Properties/Advanced Tab/Start up and
Recovery/Settings Button.
Under System Failure, uncheck the Automatically Restart option. This will
allow the error to be displayed when the problem is encountered.
Check the Event Viewer for possible information. Go to start/Run and type
eventvwr.msc and press OK. Click the 3 menu items on the left and look for
any "X" error messages. If any are found, double click the error entry to
see the details. If you find an error that is coincidng with the behavior,
click the Copy Icon on the details dialog screen and paste the error details
in a reply to this message.
