Common Location for All Users PST files, is that good?

I am looking to have all of the users PST files located in a single shared
folder (\\server\share\) and all users will be able to see the other users
PST files.

Initially I think this would be bad because users would be able to see
inside other users PST files. Is this true? Is centralizing a good thing
or should I put the PST files in the users Home Directory on the server?

What do you suggest?

Any suggestions are always helpful.

Thank You

Would that work because I thought the PST files are all named the same
(outlook.pst). If that is the cae it would not work. Maybe I am way wrong
here.

PSTs on network drives are unsupported and can lead to data corruption.

Perhaps if they are not open, but if it's an NTFS file system, permissions
on the PSTs can prevent it.

PSTs should be on the local hard drive and periodically copied with Outlook
closed to a network share where they can be targeted for backup.
