Color of Text Box When Inserting Text in PowerPoint

We created a PowerPoint presentation that has "photo" for the background of
all slides.
When we click on a text box on a slide and start to enter Text (such as for
the Title or bulleted list), the text box turns "white" (it's fill color is
white). When your Font color is white you cannot see the text you are
entering. Is there any default setting to change the color of the Text Box
to "clear"? Is there any VB macro to change the background fill color of text
boxes?
Thankyou.

Is this PowerPoint 97 or 2000? Go to Format > Slide Color Scheme and change the
Background color to something that contrasts with white. This was changed in
PowerPoint 2002, which chooses a better color for you when you edit text.
