Automically add information from one text box to another

My team is trying to avoid duplication of work (copying and pasting) during a live workshop. Here is our challenge:

On Slide 1, we would like to be able to insert text into a text box while the presentation is running.
On slide 5, we would like the text box to populate with the text that was inserted on Slide 1.
On slide 7, we would like the text box to populate with the text that was inserted on Slide 1 also.

Is it possible to do this, and how would we go about accomplishing this?
