closing popup cause end of session

On IE6 under Windows XP, when a popup is closed it causes
the end of the current session (as if the main window was
closed).
The Problem is that two computers under XP with same
version of IE6 (see below) one works done (patchs has been
applied in the same order).

Details :
IE6 version : 6.0.2800.11063.xpsp2.030422-1633 with
updates : SP1;Q828750; Q818529; Q822925; Q330994; Q824145

Windows XP : Service Pack 1

With the problem version, how do you close the popup? Manually or with a
popup blocker. If the latter, disable it.

Thanks for web sites provided.

There is no popup blocker. the popup is opened and closed
(close button into the popup or the close icon of the
window) by the user.
