IE Version Variations & Secure Site Access

My IE 6.0 works fine but my brother's IE 6.0 cannot
access secure sites. I have decided to see if we both
have the same version of IE. We both are using XP.

The working IE (original XP install disks) now has:

IE Version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
Cipher Strength 128 bit
Product ID 55274-640-1464517-23937
Update Versions: SP1
Q813489
Q330994
Q818529
Q822925
Q828750
Q824145
Q832894

The one that cannot access secure sites (factory
preloaded software) has:

IE Version 6.0.2600.0000.xpclnt_qfe.021108-2107IC
Cipher Strength 128 bit
Product ID 55277-OEM-0011903-00101
Update Versions Q316059
Q319182
Q321232
Q323759
Q328676
Q818529
Q330994
Q822925
Q828750

"This is a customized version of Internet Explorer"

Is it safe to download the IE SP1 service pack and the
most recent cumulative secutity patch (Q832894) for
this .2600 version and will that then make the versions
the same? Or will this "customized" version always be a
mutant? Thanks!!
