My computer is configured to update MS products
automatically. It appeasr that one of the last security
update made IE unable to open WSDLs. You can try to open
for instance this Microsoft offiacial interoperability WSDL

http://mssoapinterop.org/asmx/WSDL/emptysa.wsdl

I am using Windows XP and IE version is:

6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
Update versions: SP1; Q828750; Q330994; Q824145; Q822925;
Q832894; q837009; q 831167

Curret workarround : I started using Mozilla :-)

Any other example?
That site appears to be down:

telnet mssoapinterop.org 80
Connecting To mssoapinterop.org...Could not open connection to the host, on port 80: Connect failed
telnet mssoapinterop.org 443
Connecting To mssoapinterop.org...Could not open connection to the host, on port 443: Connect failed
