Closing pdf files within a browser page

Every time I close a pdf file within a web page my mouse
stops responding and within a minute the entire web page
closes out. I have to go back and click the internet
explorer icon to get back to the internet...can you help?

What version of the reader are you using.

Possible cure is to download the latest version 6.

Remove the ver 5 if it's the case and install the new one.
