Opening pdf files within its own application

Mike

When I view pdf files embedded in web pages they open
within the browser window - one disadvantage of this is
the viewing area is very much reduced.

Can I configure IE6 to open pdf files automatically within
its native application i.e Acrobat 5.0?

It appears this is possible on a Mac where there is
an 'Internet Explorer Preferences' dialogue box that
allows you to specify how incoming files are handled with
the 'file helpers' menu item.

Thanks

Mike

I don't know how to set in IE, but you can first save the PDF file and
then reopen it. It is much quicker then using IE embedded reader for big PDF
file.

I have more detail in
