clean boot problem

I want to perform a clean boot in xp but I can't uncheck my "Process
System.ini File" box. The other boxes will uncheck, but that one won't for
some reason. Thanks for any ideas?

To disable system.ini, you need to be in either selective startup or
diagnostic mode.
