Checking Connections

I have been having sound problems latley and I think its
due to my sound card, how do I check and make sure that my
speakers are properly connected to my sound card?

Also, how do I update my soundcard.....im not even sure
which kind of sound card I have :/

The speakers usually use an 1/8" jack and go into the sound card in the
back of your computer. They are generally color coded, but yours may not
be. This will make you have to read the ports on the sound card and see
which one to put it in.

For sound card info/drivers, I suggest downloading Everest Home from
www.lavalys.com and install it. Check under the audio devices section
and it will list the info and link to the drivers.
